Title: Quaternity Series, Artist’s Books II and III

Description / Materials: Quaternity Series, Artist’s Books II and III are two unique edition artist’s books. Each book consists of 12 original mixed-media works on paper. Books are case-bound by hand, and signed by the artist on colophon page. Produced for the exhibition 30 Years on the Road, curated by Edouard Duval-Carrié, on view November 15, 2014- February 1, 2015 at ArtCenter/South Florida, Miami Beach, FL.

QS Artist Book 1

Title: Quaternity Series, Artist’s Book I
Year: 2014

Description / Materials: Limited edition artist’s book containing thirteen works enclosed in a paper folio saddle stitched booklet. Works are partly digitally printed and partly intervened by hand by Gamaliel Herrera. The book includes a statement about the concept of quaternity, and one of its works contains a short poem by Virgil translated to English by H. R. Fairclough. Edition of 50. All books signed and numbered by the artist on colophon page. Published by Meneses + Leder Kremer, an artist run self-publishing operation based in Miami, FL. Produced with the generous support of Florida Gulf Coast University for the exhibition Self-Published: Artists Making Books, Editions and Zines, curated by Juana Meneses and Leila Leder Kremer, on view October 9–November 7, 2014 at ArtLab, Florida Gulf Coast University, Fort Myers, FL.
